  • Construction Advisory - Big Berland Staging Area

    Effective:  September 30, 2021

      • A short section of the road leading to the Big Berland staging area washed out in 2020.  There is currently a rough trail cut around the flood zone to provide access to the Sunset Creek Trail leading to the Willmore Wilderness.
      • A new and improved staging area will be built on higher ground.  Construction will be completed by the spring of 2022.
      • Thank you for your patience while we get the new staging area completed.

  • Rock Lake Flooding Potential

    Effective:  September 30, 2021

      • During times of meltwater and heavy rainfall, the Wildhay River can rise rapidly, submerging the Rock Lake road.  Alberta Parks is conducting an engineering study to determine solutions for safely diverting water flow.
        • In the event of flooding, Rock Lake Provincial Park is subject to closure.
        • Visitors are advised to travel at their own risk.
        • Road conditions are being monitored.

  • Closure - Mount Robson Trail Closures

    Effective:  September 30, 2021

      Mount Robson Trail Closures: Hikers traveling the North Boundary Trail to Mount Robson Provincial Park should be aware that some trail closures are in effect due to flooding, landslides, and construction.  Please check with BC Parks for trail status updates  https://bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/mt_robson/

  • Cowlick Creek Staging Area temporary closure

    Effective:  August 26, 2021

      The Cowlick Creek staging area, located east of Grande Cache off Highway 40, will be temporarily closed to public access due to required site maintenance work, effective August 26 until further notice.
