Hikers Canyon Campground is located in Sulphur Gates Provincial Recreation Area, 5 km north and 7 km west of Grande Cache off Hwy. 40. There are 11 unserviced campsites suitable for tents. From the parking lot at the campground, a short trail leads to lookout platforms with spectacular views of the Sulphur River canyon and the Smoky River.
A short distance down the road is Saddle Ridge Equestrian Campground with 22 equestrian campsites with corrals, and 2 equestrian Day Use Areas.
