Please be advised that construction of the new camping loop at the Pigeon Lake Campground is scheduled to take place during the 2026 operational season.

Heavy equipment and a construction crew will be on site working on the project. The areas scheduled for construction will have minimal impact to the existing campsites. We are anticipating construction noise to be present during daytime hours while the construction is taking place. The Government of Alberta is committed to ensuring all visitors have a safe experience in our parks, and all visitors are prohibited from going beyond barriers set in place.

Visitors will continue to be able to access the existing camping loops, Group Use Areas and Day Use Areas during this time. Updates to this construction advisory will be posted throughout the duration of the project as construction progresses and project schedule details are finalized.

Follow the direction of all signage and personnel in the area and stay out of active construction zones.

Due to low water levels at Pigeon Lake, please use caution when launching or retrieving boats. Larger vessels (over 16 ft) or those with deeper drafts may have difficulty launching.

All boat launches are used at your own risk.
