Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

    This program introduces students to the Boreal Forest Natural Region found in the Beaver Hills. They hike through the forest and participate in activities emphasizing forest ecology, species interactions and biodiversity. Students observe the characteristics of native trees and shrubs, using classification keys to identify them.
