The Midland Coal Mine site is home to an important story of Alberta’s history.
At the Midland Mine #1 site, you can visit the old mining company office to see artifacts and learn more about the site.
This area also contains an 18-hole Badlands Disc Golf Course. Sturdy footwear is recommended, as natural hazards such as washouts, cactus, slippery slopes exist. Bring your own disc golf discs (Driver, Iron and Putter).
Up the hill you will find Midland Mine #2 site. Here you can retrace the footsteps of miners on the Midland Coal Interpretive Trail which has numerous signs and real-life artifacts, and a small gazebo rest stop at the mid-way point.
