Tolman East Campground is deep in the Red Deer River Valley beneath the shade of the cottonwood trees. Sites are suitable for tents and RVs and most are sheltered by trees and shrubs. Paddle through the badlands or fish along the river. You cannot access this campground through the Dry Island Buffalo Jump day use area near Trochu.  The campground is located on the east side of the Red Deer River on Highway 585. It is across the river from the Tolman West campground.

  • Hand Launch open May to September. 
  • Vehicle access into the park is not provided from early September to mid-May.
  • Visitors should exercise caution; there is a community gun range located in close proximity to this campground.
  • Only exact cash or cheque are accepted as payment in this location.

Firewood
  • Firewood alert! Firewood not available. Help stop the spread of forest pests, Dutch elm disease and emerald ash borer.  Plan to buy firewood locally, burn on site, never bring home.
Water

Potable water is available from May until September.
