X-Country Ski
  • Moderate Fire Hazard
  • All trails are open. All trail conditions are rated fair to good with the trails having some trees on them, flooded frozen water areas or debris on them. Also there are caution areas of where the beavers have flooded the trails or have trenched through the trails.   
  • Trails track set to Islet Lake and back as of Jan 12th. Some thin snow and track set areas. real time link to what’s been groomed & track set at Cooking Lake-Blackfoot PRA.
  • Crossing any hazardous area is entirely at your own risk.
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times and not allowed on the track set ski trails.
  • Bikes and Fat tire bikes not allowed on the track set ski trails.
Horse Trails
  • Moderate Fire Hazard
  • All trails are open. All trail conditions are rated fair with the trails having some trees on them, flooded frozen water areas or debris on them. Also there are caution areas of where the beavers have flooded the trails or have trenched through the trails.   
  • Trails groomed to Running Dog Shelter and back as of Jan 15th. There are thin snow areas to be aware of.
  • Crossing any hazardous area is entirely at your own risk.
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Snowmobiling
  • CLOSED   
  • We need a 30 cm base of snow to open up for snowmobiling.
Skating Rink
  • OPEN

  • All trails are open. All trail conditions are rated fair with the trails having some trees on them or debris on them. Also there are some caution areas to be aware of on some of the trails.   
  • As these winter conditions prevail the trail conditions will turn into good conditions and we can tentatively start track setting as of mid January.
  • Crossing any hazardous area is entirely at your own risk.
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times and not allowed on the track set ski trails.
  • Bikes and Fat tire bikes not allowed on the track set ski trails.

  • This area is open to HORSES ONLY from APRIL 1 - NOVEMBER 30.  Equestrian / Horse use is Closed from December 1- March 31. Thank you

Note: All dogs must remain leashed while within the Cooking Lake – Blackfoot, Wildlife, Grazing, Provincial Recreation Area and dogs are not allowed on the track set trails. Thank you.
