Construction Closure - Fish Creek Provincial Park: Glennfield Day Use Area

May 19, 2017

Please be advised that partial and full closures are expected for portions of the Glennfield area for 2-3 days at a time from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26.  This will accommodate paving of the parking lots and access roads.

Construction Advisory - Fish Creek Provincial Park

May 17, 2017

Please be advised of a major infrastructure improvement project that is scheduled for portions of Fish Creek Provincial Park from May 18th through July 31, 2017.  The following areas of the park are being upgrades with new asphalt overlay to parking lots and access roads.  Partial and full closures are expected for the following areas for 2-3 days at a time:

  • Shannon Terrace
  • Voiter’s Flats
  • Glennfield
  • Marshall Springs
  • Hulls’s Wood
  • Bankside
  • Mallard Point
  • Bow Valley Ranch
  • Rotary Nature Park

 

Cougar Warning - Fish Creek Provincial Park - Bebo Grove

Construction Advisory - Sikome Lake

April 07, 2017

Please be advised that construction equipment and crews will be working at Sikome Aquatic Facility in Fish Creek Provincial Park beginning April 7th. The crews will be working to renew the sand in the lake.

There will be significant heavy traffic entering the park from Sun Valley Blvd. Vehicles will be travelling along the west road to the south parking lots.

Please obey all construction signs and flag personnel and refrain from using the west road and the south parking area.

Construction Advisory - Contractor Access to Transportation Utility Corridor

January 24, 2017

Please be advised that various contractors will be utilizing a corridor west from the Parks Maintenance facility at Shannon Terrace to facilitate power line installation along the Transportation Utility Corridor in support of the Southwest Calgary Ring Road project. No construction will be taking place within the Park. Travel will be restricted to an approved route cleared of snow and previously disturbed.
