Placement Information

Location: Franchere Bay Campground (Franchere Bay PRA)
Ideal Placement Dates: Jun 3 - Sep 3

Franchere Bay Campground is seeking a host or group of hosts (e.g. couple or family) for one of the following options: a single full-season placement, or a single partial-season placement. Placement dates are flexible. A partial-season placement requires a minimum commitment of four consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

In addition to the key responsibilities outlined in the volunteer host description, hosts at Franchere Bay have the following site-specific duties:

• Perform light maintenance duties such as removing registration tags from vacated sites, cleaning mud and dirt off road signs, and trimming branches obscuring signs.
• Assist with the setup and takedown of public interpretation programs, and, if comfortable, participate in existing programs.
• Opportunity to assist with public interpretive programming with Visitor Engagement staff.

Additional Information

Staff are primarily based out of Moose Lake Provincial Park, which is approximately 8 km away. Maintenance Services, Park Rangers, and Information Officers will be present at Franchere Bay.
