Firearms Discharge Permit
Issued by Alberta Environment and Parks, under the authority of: Section 46 of the Provincial Parks (General) Regulation for the purpose of Carry/Discharge a firearm.
Tree Cutting Permits
In Alberta, a valid temporary timber permit (TM66) is required for small-scale, non-commercial or personal access to timber and trees on provincial Crown land.

Special Events Permit must be obtained for any activity carried out by an individual, group or association that, by its nature and scope, requires special provisions or approval.
Guiding & Instructing Permit
A guiding and instruction permit is required by anyone who acts as a guide to lead or guide persons on recreational trips for a fee or conducts a course of instruction in a park for a fee.
Commercial Trail Riding
A Commercial Trail Riding Annual Permit is required by a business enterprise that provides recreational horseback riding trips of varying duration.
Filming & Still Photography
Alberta's parks provide excellent locations for filming and photography. There are guidelines and conditions to ensure that these activities respect environmental integrity.
Facility Operating & Service Agreements
The Government of Alberta often enters into facility operating and service agreements for Operation and maintenance of provincially owned campgrounds and Delivery of some maintenance services such as building cleaning and grass cutting.
Research & Collection Permit
Alberta's parks provide excellent locations for scientific and research activities given their value as natural laboratories with long-term protection. We encourage research where it can be conducted with minimal risk to the environment and minimal disturbance to visitors.
