Visiting Alberta Parks for a day trip is free, with the exception of a Kananaskis Conservation Pass required for vehicles parked at provincial park and public land sites in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley. The Sikome Aquatic Centre, also known as Sikome Lake, is a man-made lake located in Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary. This public swimming and recreational area is operated seasonally during the summer months, providing a beach and various amenities for families to enjoy. Known for its shallow, warm waters and sandy bottom, it’s the ideal place for swimming and beach activities with lifeguards on site.

Writing-on-Stone/Áísínai'pi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, presents a significant cultural landscape. Here in this unique setting, Indigenous people came for centuries and recorded their experiences and visions on the sandstone cliffs of the Milk River Valley. Developed to host the 1988 Olympic Winter Games, Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park is one of the best places on earth for cross-country skiing. Visitors travel from across Canada and around the world to enjoy the extensive recreational and competitive ski and mountain biking trails, participate in and spectate at world class winter and summer events. Year-round facilities and services include a Visitor Information Centre, a Café, and a rental and retail store. Enjoy a day of cross-country skiing. Equipment rentals are not included, but are available on site through Trail Sports.

Nestled in the heart of Alberta’s badlands, Dinosaur Provincial Park is home to one of the richest dinosaur fossil sites in the world. Come learn about the natural history of Dinosaur Provincial Park on the Explorer’s Bus Tour (for the Canoo member only), which takes you deep into the Palaeontological Preserve. Immerse yourself in the stories of those who explored this landscape before you; learn who they were and what drew them to the badlands. Free admission for the Canoo member and up to 4 of their children (under 18 years) is also provided to access the Visitor Centre exhibits.
