Non-Standard Refund Request Form for Camping Reservations

    Use this form to request refunds that do not meet the change or cancellation policies outlined in the Online Purchase Information for camping reservations including individual and backcountry campsites, group use areas and comfort camping.

    Non-Standard Refund Categories

    Refund exceptions will only be considered for:

    • Death of an immediate family member *: When possible, the account holder must cancel or change the reservation as soon as possible.

      *An immediate family member is defined as a parent or parental guardian, spouse, child, grandchild, grandparent, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and any other relative permanently residing in the same household. Death of friends, distant relatives or pets do not qualify for a refund.

    • Incorrect charges: Rare technical errors can occur, such as a charge without a completed reservation.

    • Major medical emergency: When the account holder or other member of the camping party has a major medical emergency within the 72-hour cancellation window, which requires medical attention at a hospital emergency room, preventing the camper from fulfilling their reservation.
      When possible, the account holder must cancel or change the reservation as soon as possible.

    • Services down: When services such as power hook-ups or water hook-ups at the campsite are paid for but not available during the camping stay.

    • Unusable campsite: When Park staff deem your campsite unusable or unsafe for use, or if campsite access is impeded due to a campground event (e.g. fallen tree in the site).
