Prohibited: The use of all wood, briquette and propane/natural gas fires and campfires; this includes fires contained in designated fire facilities.
Permitted: Gas/propane stoves and BBQ's, when approved for cooking.

Beach: natural sand beach on Whitney Lake for use by day users and campers; there are also 3 beaches in Ross Lake campground.
Birding: 148 species of birds and waterfowl have been observed in this park.
Cross-country skiing: 29 km non-groomed trails.
Fishing: northern pike and perch in Whitney Lake; northern pike, perch and walleye in Laurier Lake; northern pike and perch in Ross Lake; refer to the Alberta Guide to Sportfishing Regulations for seasons and catch limits.
Hiking: an extensive trail system links Ross, Whitney, Laurier and Borden lakes and provides easy access to a variety of landscapes and habitats.
Wildlife viewing: wetlands and forests of pine, white spruce, aspen, birch and willow are home to deer, moose, beaver, black bear, red squirrel and flying squirrel.
