Legal Land Description
Boreal Forest Natural Region

This area is a bird watcher's paradise with over 200 species of waterfowl and songbirds. The park is equipped with bird watching trails and a viewing platform equipped with spotting scopes.
Camping Season: May 13 - October 12
Camping Fees: $21.00 to $26.00 per night

  • Winagami Lake and nearby Kimiwan Lake provide exceptional birdwatching opportunities, especially during spring & fall migrations; more than 200 bird species (both nesting & migratory) have been observed in the park; there are nesting colonies of grebes, sandpipers, gulls & ducks; predatory species include merlin & northern goshawk; bald eagles visit the lakes in the fall.
