Directions to Campground

Carson-Pegasus Campground is located in Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park. From Whitecourt, it is 6 km west on Hwy. 43, 11 km north on Hwy. 32 and 5 east on an access road. This large campground has almost 200 sites, both with and without power. There are lakeside, RV, and tent-only sites, with trees offering privacy. Many amenities and activities are available here: boat rentals, a tackle shop, playground, and beach are close by. Enjoy fishing, swimming, hiking, and bird watching, or snowshoeing and ice fishing in winter.  

Changes to water and other services

  • Starting September 5, the campground is first come-first served, with limited booth hours.
  • Water is being shut off September 12.
  • Loops B,C, D and E close September 18; the other loops and the campground booth close October 10.
  • Peninsula campsites will remain open as first come-first served year-round, with limited facility and road maintenance in winter.
