Notice: This park is home to the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology and is located at the site of the Midland Coal Mine, which operated from 1912 until 1959.
Hiking: pathway through willows and cottonwoods along the river provides welcome shade during the heat of summer.
Interpretive programs: interpretive display at old mine office; as well, the Royal Tyrrell Museum, located in the park, contains the most extensive display of dinosaur fossils in world; window into preparation lab; phone 403-823-7707.
