Internships

Each year, Kananaskis Country hires 2 interns in partnership with Friends of Kananaskis Country and Elbow River Watershed Partnership.  The interns support delivery of a freshwater field study to Grades 8, 9 and Biology 20 students. It is a seasonal placement that attracts junior professionals starting out their careers. Mentoring and training is provided by Kananaskis Country Environmental Education Coordinators.

The objective of the internship is to provide post-secondary students interested in pursuing the field of environmental education

  • A valuable opportunity to learn skills in designing, presenting and evaluating environmental education programs
  • Mentoring and a supportive, professional work experience
  • Opportunity to become engaged citizens supporting Alberta Parks' messages and mandates
