West Bragg Creek Trail Report

Print Report

Updated: August 25, 2016

Trails are generally damp, with wet/muddy sections and these conditions will likely continue through the weekend based on current forecasts. For information that is updated regularly on these trails please visit our partner's trail report on the Greater Bragg Creek Trail Association website.

Please note: The Shepherdia (aka buffaloberry) crop is now past the prime stage prompting the removal of the Kananasksis-wide bear warning but bears are actively feeding at valley bottoms as there are still berries to be found. Please ensure that you are carrying bear spray, know how to use it, are aware of your surroundings, making noise, reducing your speed in forested areas and observing all Bear Smart safety techniques.

Notes:

  1. Caution is advised as natural hazards may be encountered on trails.
  2. The All Season Trails system was created in partnership with the Government of Alberta and the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association (GBCTA). Please visit the GBTCA website to learn more.
