West Bragg Creek Trail Report

Print Report

Updated: July 22, 2016

Trails are in good condition with some damp sections that are expected to dry out by the end of this week.

Please note: There is a bumper crop of shepherdia (aka buffaloberry) this season so bears are actively feeding and are less aware of their surroundings. Please ensure that you are carrying bear spray, know how to use it, are aware of your surroundings, making noise and reducing your speed in forested areas

Notes:

  1. Caution is advised as natural hazards may be encountered on trails.
  2. Bears and cougars are active; carry bear spray, keep dogs on leash, remain observant and practice wildlife safety techniques.
  3. For information that is updated regularly on these trails please visit our partner's trail report on the Greater Bragg Creek Trail Association website and note that the All Season Trails system was created in partnership with the Government of Alberta and the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association (GBCTA). Please visit the GBTCA website to learn more.
