Evan-Thomas Provincial Recreation Area conveys a sense of accessible wilderness to visitors. You'll discover spectacular mountain vistas and may see moose, elk, bear and bighorn sheep. Kananaskis Village is located within this park, as are several other special facilities.

In summer, there are hundreds of kilometres of trails for mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding.  Backpackers and hikers can access Spray Valley Provincial Park, Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park and Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park from Evan-Thomas area trails.  In winter, cross-country ski on trails like Ribbon Creek Trail.
