Recreation Notes

Beach: there are two beaches in the park - a day use beach and a campers beach.

Birding: the Important Bird Area within which Dillberry Lake is located is significant for several species of shorebirds; ducks, geese and swans are common on the waters of Dillberry Lake; shorebirds and herons frequent its shores; and there's an unusual mix of boreal species (e.g. hermit thrush), grassland species (e.g. lark sparrows) and parkland species (e.g. marsh wrens, yellow-headed blackbirds, western meadowlarks & Sprague's pipits).

Cross-country skiing: ungroomed trails.

Ice fishing: the boat launch parking area is maintained for ice fishing access.

Swimming: Red Cross swimming lessons sponsored by Dillberry Lake Cabin Association will be held from July 2 to July 13, 2012.
