Dawson Provincial Recreation Area
Lat: 51.0229342701   Long: -114.882393639

Information: 403-673-3985

Notice: This provincial recreation area is named for George Mercer Dawson, who conducted timber surveys in many of the river valleys in the Kananaskis region in 1883 and 1884. Whether camping, hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding, you’ll treasure this area's mix of foothill and mountain vistas. Cox Hill Trail is a popular shared trail that climbs to a flat, grassy hilltop where you are rewarded with stunning, panoramic views. For a longer mountain bike or horseback ride, relatively flat Tom Snow Trail will take you all the way to West Bragg Creek.
