Birding: mixed stands of poplar, spruce and pine provide habitat for white-throated sparrows, ruffed grouse and several warbler species; one of the park's most significant features is its resident birds of prey - osprey and bald eagles forage along the shoreline and on the lake; great blue herons and osprey nest around the lake; in winter bohemian waxwings, evening and pine grosbeaks, and white-winged crossbills feed on fruit-bearing trees and shrubs. Cross-country skiing: 7 km ungroomed trails. Power boating: vessels subject to 12 km/h speed limit in posted areas.
