Notice: Crimson Lake campground will be upgraded in 2013. Planned upgrades include addition of power to campsites, road improvements and water system upgrades. Although upgrading work will result in periodic closure of some campsites, the campground itself will remain open for the 2013 season. Birding: sandhill cranes, boreal owls, northern pygmy owls, greater yellowlegs, western tanagers and solitary sandpipers.

Cross-country skiing: 20 km ungroomed trails.

Power boating: vessels subject to 12 km/h speed limit on Twin Lakes.
