Trees & Forests

This program introduces students to the Boreal Forest Natural Region, within which the Beaver Hills are located. Students hike through the forest and participate in activities emphasizing forest ecology, species interactions and biodiversity. They also observe the characteristics of native trees and shrubs, using classification keys to identify them.
