    Rundle's Revenge Mountain Bike & Trail Run

    Rundle's Revenge is a two-day mountain biking and trail running event. Saturday features 12.5, 25, 50 and 100km mountain bike races. Sunday features 7, 12.5, 25 and 50km trail running races. You can do just the mountain biking on Saturday or just the trail running on Sunday - or you can participate both days! Both days also feature a kids race at 11:00am. 

     Event Note: Trails will remain open to the public, but please be aware and yield to racers.

    24 Hours of Adrenalin Mountain Bike Race

    Experience the Woodstock of Mountain Biking!  Competitors ride solo or in teams of up to ten people for a full 24 hours. This event is designed to accommodate all levels of rider and hosts more than 1600 team participants and 50 solo participants annually.

    2017 Canadian XCO National Championships

    1. Thursday, July 20 - Night 3-Stage Enduro (and Spectator's Beer Garden)

    Both a community party to celebrate our collective love of bikes and a super fun bike race. The Thursday Night Enduro Race is best described as timed downhill cross-country race with a number of uphill transfer stages, which are not timed, but have time limits to complete. This Enduro race is all-natural and stunt-free race that lacks the technical danger-packed elements of a downhill race (mandatory drops or gaps).

    2. Saturday, July 22 - Canadian XCO Championships

    Cross-Country is a mass start event which takes place on a circuit of approximately 4km. Courses feature a mix of uphill and downhill terrain with technical sections that range from a single track to more wide-open spaces. The winner is the first to cross the finish line. This is an XCO Canadian Championship event and is open to UCI registered racers who fall in the following categories: Cadet (U17) Expert, Junior (U19) Expert, U23, Elite, and Master Expert (30+).

    3. Sunday Morning, July 23 - XCO Alberta Cup

    The Sunday Morning Alberta Cup Race is a classic-style cross-country mountain bike race designed to be a nice mix of new racing terrain and old classic trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre to ensure an exciting, varied, and highly race-able course.

    4. Sunday Afternoon, July 23 - Canadian XCO Team Relay Championships

    Teams will complete a total of 4 laps of the XCO course, or a slightly modified XCO course. This is an XCO Canadian Championship event and is open to UCI registered racers who fall in the following categories: Cadet (U17) Expert, Junior (U19) Expert, U23, Elite, and Master Expert (30+).


    5. Sunday Afternoon, July 23 - Youth Trailblazers XC Race

    The Youth Trailblazer (XC) Race will take place on Sunday. This is one of a series of Trailblazer races offered by the Alberta Bicycling Association (ABA).

    XTERRA Canmore Triathlon & Duathlon

    Witness a spectacular off-road triathlon and duathlon on August 14th. The XTERRA Canmore triathlon begins with a swim in Quarry Lake, followed by a bike along Three Sisters Drive, and finishes with a run at the Canmore Nordic Center. The start of the Duathlon is also at Quarry Lake, but athletes transition to a bike at the Nordic Center, where the final run also takes place. Don't miss these exciting races!

    Big Bear Classic Disc Golf Tournament

    The 18th Annual Big Bear Classic is a two-day competitive disc golf tournament with some of the top players from BC, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the north-western USA (Montana, Oregon). This is the biggest event on the Alberta Disc Golf Tour each year and welcomes players of all skill level and age.

    The disc golf course will be closed to the public during the event.

    Ace Race Disc Golf Event

    Each autumn, disc golfers from around the world gather at their local courses for one purpose: to throw aces! No putting, no approaching... just runnin' at the chains. Ace Race is not a tournament, it's a fun event where everyone of any skill level is welcome!

    Rocky Mountain Crusher

    This 4th annual outdoor CrossFit event will challenge athletes by taking fitness to a whole new extreme. The event will include a 5km mountain trail run, covering 200m in elevation gains, and five CrossFit WODs staged throughout.

    The Rocky Mountain Crusher will be an all-out test of skill, endurance, strength and team work! We design the workouts to be both FUN and demanding, including classic movements done in CrossFit gyms around the world, as well as a couple of unique and challenging elements. As a team, you will make your way through the 5km course, working together to complete each WOD.

    5 Peaks Trail Running Race - Race #5

    The fifth and final event of the 5 Peaks Central Alberta Trail Running Race Series. The race takes place on pre-marked natural surface trails with participants running over rocks, roots, tree stumps and logs, through mud puddles, snow and so much more. Each event consists of a free Children’s Challenge (50m – 1km), a Kidspeaks Timed Kids Challenge (about 3k), a Sport (5-8 km) entry-level course, and an Enduro (10-15 km) intermediate to advanced course.  Certain races will also have a half marathon distance.

    Grizzly Ultra Marathon & Relay

    The Grizzly Ultra Marathon & Relay is comprised of 5 legs on mountain trails for a total of 50km, with a combined elevation gain of 1,691 metres (5,547 feet).  The event also included prizes for best dressed teams, a kid's race and bouncy castles making it a fun family day.

    Event highlights include:

    • 50km Solo
    • 2 or 5 Person Relay Categories
    • Free Grizzly Cubs Kids Run
    • Kids Bouncy Castle (subject to dry weather)
    • Kids Indoor Movie Theatre
