Crown of the Continent
- The Crown of the Continent is a regional network that includes and surrounds Waterton Glacier International Peace Park (a UNESCO World Heritage site) in southwestern Alberta, southeastern British Columbia, and northwestern Montana.
- The ecosystem where Alberta, British Columbia and Montana meet is largely defined by the habitat needs of the wide-ranging wildlife that thrives here. The Crown of the Continent, "one of the world's great mountain landscapes", covers approximately 44,000 square kilometres.
- Several provincial parks and recreation areas are Alberta's Crown Jewels in the Crown of the Continent.
