Alberta's Northern Rockies are an outdoor paradise with thousands of square kilometres of rugged and untamed wilderness. Scenery varies from lofty mountain tops and glaciated peaks to deep valleys, clear lakes and wild rivers. Rolling foothills are covered with forests of pine, spruce, aspen and fir. This area is home to a wealth of wildlife: black and grizzly bears, wolves, cougars, moose, caribou, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk and deer. See the map below or download it.
