Fee Guidelines

In Alberta's provincial parks and recreation areas camping fees are established by the department and are subject to change. Each site's fees are based on market demand and the services available at that site. Below is a chart specifying the range of fees possible for each service.

Fees include federal Goods and Services Tax (GST). (There are no fees for day use facilities)

Basic Campsites	$5 - $23/night Base rate established by department/facility operator based upon market conditions, plus additional services.
Backcountry Camping in Designated Backcountry Campgrounds	$12/person/night (Children under 16 years are free but still require a permit)
Group Campgrounds on Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca	Base rate of $50/night plus a per night fee of up to the regular overnight camping fee for the park where the group camping is located multiplied by the number of camping units (5 units minimum) for the entire reserved stay.
Group Camprounds NOT on Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca ("Phone-in Only")	Base rate of $50/night plus a per night fee of up to the regular overnight camping fee for the park where the group camping is located multiplied by the number of camping units (5 units minimum) for the first night only.
Group Day Use Areas	$50 - $88/day

Additional Services	Fee
Pressurized water hook-up at campsite	$6/night
Electrical hook-up at campsite	$6/night
Sewer hook-up at campsite	$6/night
Showers, if not coin operated	$6/night
Firewood	Market-based pricing; sold by concession or surcharge
Horse corrals	$6/animal/night
Sewage Disposal	$3/use

Reservations	Fee
Reserve.Albertaparks.ca	Non-refundable $12 reservation fee plus full pre-payment of camping fees Changes to campsite reservations is $5/change; no charge for name/address changes.
'Phone-In' Campsite Reservation Service and Group Use	Non-refundable $12 reservation fee plus a deposit equal to the first night's camping fee Reservation amendments = $5/amendment
Group Day Use	Non-refundable $12 reservation fee plus a deposit equal to the first day's fee
