We offer hands-on programs to schools and the public that enrich the experience of place and highlight the importance of protected areas. Our passionate and skilled environmental educators and park interpreters help you learn, grow and play in nature.
Environmental education is a life-long learning process that deals with both natural and human-created environments. Our environmental education school programs are curriculum-based.
We also offer resources that teachers and students can use to support learning about Alberta's parks.
Public programs in Alberta's parks are fun, informal learning opportunities. Interpretation (another name for public programs) provides visitors with an enriching and engaging experience. Examples of memorable hands-on activities include digging for dinosaur bones, dipping for pond creatures, searching for bats at night and snowshoeing through the boreal forest. You can also join us for hilarious and high-energy amphitheatre shows.
