Flood Volunteering

Welcome to the new Flood Recovery Volunteer Program opportunities page! Use it to connect with diverse and meaningful projects - through both Alberta Parks and our partners across Kananaskis Region.

Bookmark this page and check back often.  Opportunities are posted as they develop. We've identified more than 400 major flood recovery projects to take place over the next three years. Flood Recovery Volunteers will participate in many of them.

Explore the map below. Each pin identifies a unique project.  Be sure to zoom all the way in as some areas have more than one pin hiding behind each other. The checkboxes on the side help you select projects that suit your needs. Remember to unclick all the boxes to see the full range of opportunities or use the List View.

Over 2,200 people contributed 22,000 volunteer hours to support programs and services across Kananaskis Region last year. Albertans continue to be involved in a variety of projects that enhance the provincial park system. Join us as we Play with Purpose.

Check Southern Alberta Flood Recovery for more info on restoration efforts.
